Here ya go, it's not a huge difference but with a bunch of short 1 line replies it creates the effect described.

Larry,

I've been trying to quantify the scale of the scrolling problem on my machine (15" monitor).

On this page (with only a very few postings), immediately below a posting, there is a full screen height of nothing, followed by approx. 14 one centimetre (roughly 3/8ths of an inch) high horizontal bars.

On the previous page (fully populated), the space below each posting is roughly equivalent to three full screen heights of nothing, followed by approx. 72 horizontal bars (as above).

It appears that each time someone posts, it both increases the blank space below each posting, and also the number of 'bars'. I hope this makes sense.

When I said I had a scrolling problem, I seriously ain't kiddin Shocked

Anyone else notice the forum responding a little sluggish. It seems a little slower than before.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the suggestions,

In no particular order, my screen res is 1024 x 768, OS is 9.2. ? (pain in the a**e OS which locks up frequently, and well overdue for an upgrade).

I haven't touched the cookies in ages, and if anyone mentions "cache" I end up have recurring nightmares of going to an ATM, punching in my PIN and nothing coming out Laughing

I had an unexpected log out problem the other day (accidentally posted as a guest Embarassed ), and I've also noticed an increase in load time for individual pages.

Strange as it may seem, the horizontal bars appear to have disappeared (pun not intended), but the large area of nothingness still remains below each posting.

Rory,
I had a very quick look at your site and it looks pretty good to me.
I did notice a minor typo on the 'About Us' page. Under Knowledge you've got "allot" instead of 'a lot'? If I get a few minutes mid week, I'll try and have a proper look through it.

To me it is less readable than how it was. The old background color made it easier to read the text.

Other than that, have to give it some time to see if it grows on me or not.
