This is what I dispise about pc based dvr's, people under spec them
Sorry but I woulndt use that cpu with anything. Specially not 16 cameras, why dont you look at the C2duo man ? 3FPS, waste of time omho- unless you use SMART function, do you know how that works csantos???? Sorry to pick on you... |
It could be before the C2Ds came down in price, and also, it along with a P4 would still work for a budget DVR. Now, this thread is really not supposed to have any comments in it though, see the OP. _________________ BahamasSecurity.com - Bahamas Real Estate - Bahamas Yellow Pages

Hi guys,
Yes, I know how smart function works. But I don't think it's necessary to be recording more than 3 fps, so I can get a bigger history of days recorded. It's hard to make the consumer spend more money with the PC spec, so sometimes we need to give them a second option. Just for you to know, this client bought a PC using a VIA chipset MB, the system never worked!! So I had to make something quickly.
Thank you for you suggest!
P.S.: I have had too much problems with gv's pc spec, this forum is a reallly good idea. We need to convence other people to write their experience here!
Regards,
Eduardo Gonçalves - Brazil
