O.k. I thought stand alone meant it worked alone not needing a computer.
Yes. I bought it as a complete unit. DVR & computer.

Stand Alone would typically be a unit with an Embedded OS (RTOS suggested), and not requiring a mouse or keyboard, having push buttons on the unit, or even an IR Remote Control; for total control. Typically their OS should not be on a Hard Drive, and the OS location is Read Only, non writable. It varies.
Either way, GeoVision is a PC System.
