I believe the eyemax uses ports in the 9000 range. If I recall, they use 9000 to 9112.

Do you at least get the web interface? If not, 80 needs t be open as well.

You are in the ball bark on the ports. You have to do port fowarding in your router to the ip of the dvr. What version 9240 do you have?

So in order to view the cameras remotely via the web service you need port 80 and a range of ports from 9000-9200? Does the ActiveX use ports?

I have port 80 forwarded, and i can access the webpage, but it won't let me authenticate. It isn't an activex issue as far as i can tell, i dont get any page errors, it just says "Login has failed" in the middle of the section for camera display.

im going nuts! Thanks in advance!

wisdum you still have not told us what version 9240 you have?
did you build it or buy it?
and you have to have activex drivers installed for the web browser also.
and you have to port forward the 9000 ports in the router also.
