Hello guys.
I install several systems with both VGA without problems, but many customers say me that this combination has poor quality in GV1120 (DSP ON) with Nvidia VGA.
Did you test this?
It´s ATI the only correct VGA for GV1120 Board?
And Nvidia?? I love Nvidia but I can Change if is necessary.
Best Regards

Hello again.
yesterday i tested 2 Systems exactly the same (main board, processor, RAM, HD, GV1120 16 cam, the same adjust (Bright, contrast....)
One system with ATI RAdeon, another with Nvidia.

Then when DSP is ON the quality image is Better in the system with ATI VGA.

Anyone Has tested this?

interesting info, have not tested it but would like to know witch cards you use from nvidia and ati. I have seen quality differences between different models of cards (low-end or high-end ....).

I've always bought Nvidia cards every since I bought a 9600 from ATI and it failed within 6 months. Nvidia is "larger" (in my opinion) and they seem to have a firmer grasp on the market and which way it is headed.

Me? Nvidia fan.

Thanks,
John

Hello.
The ATI Board is X1050-256 Mb
The Nvidia is EN7300GT 256 Mb,

In the Geovision Manual (Installation Guide for V 8.2) page 32 abd 33 say:

For Gv250,600,650,800 Minimun requiriments
Ati radeon 9550 or above /NVIDIA 6200 or above BOTH board

For GV1120-1240-GV1480-2004-2008
Ati radeon 9550 or above /NVIDIA 6200 or above BOTH board

OK, I´m agree with this.

But in Instalaltion Guide for V 8.1 page 30-31 say:

For Gv250,600,650,800 Minimun requiriments
NVIDIA GeForce 2 MX200

For GV1120-1240-GV1480-2004-2008
Ati radeon 9550 or above

???????

What do you think, guys??

Used all kinds of boards .... currently using a system with a 2600 XT (dual dvi): good.

Any grapics DVI graphics card (mid range) will do: just adjust the settings (all have that option). Even the new onboard cards are good enough.

Use a highend monitor (Eizo) to look at the video. The monitor makes a big difference btw ! (don't use a cheap panel)
It's like cheap speakers on a high end audio system.

Want super images: use a splitter or "Geovision loop-through card" and analog monitor's ..... (so real old fashion monitor with high TVL rating).

You will always loose quality because of compression and digital output to LCD etc ...

Want digital quality: go to high-end IP cam's.
