Post subject: Geovision website integration
|
I have been researching this and can't find a decent solution.
What I want:
- integrate live streams from geovison into a website. Without loading the active-x stuff. So a small java-applet that would load a play a preset camera (with a preset quality and size ...).
- no borders, etc ... just simple box that streams the cam.
Kind a like the SimpleVue program but then for a website.
(already tried to do it via tfp, but does not work fast enough only a few frame's/sec and buggy ....).
This way you could integrate camera's beautifully into customers website's.

had a look at the above, dont see anything that I can integrate in a website to get streams from Geovison.
I know there are a lots of Ip-cams that have website integration (so does geovison), but I just want to open a window, no controls, no active-x.

The above link (rory's code) looks the most promising.
Still active-x and need to see if if will work over WAN.
Would be nice if Geovison would build a simple website plugin for a cam-stream.
Lot of people would use it I guess.

edited rory's code, works fine on a LAN.
Just need to find out how to invoke the loading of the active-x component from a website .... Like the Geovison webcam: first time it will ask to load the active-x and activate it.
I have a programming background but this stuff is new. Probably just a few lines of code that I can insert.

ok, works on wan as well (just some setting to get it loaded) only BIG issue is that the activex control is from an unknown publisher so most browsers will block it !
Need an activex from Geovision (and then a small one ....like this one).

Just use your favorite archiver like 7zip or better yet since it's unsigned just have it be a manual download so the browser won't complain. _________________ Low Voltage Solutions

Itīs a good idea that the user can download the Codec directly from the web, with an .ZIP file; but :
anybody has this file, with the codec for 8.2 version??
