I am a Newbie and have a Q.
Can a Web cam that tracks faces be used on my CCTV system as a door cam?

I like the face tracking option and its a 1.3 megapixel cam for 80 bucks. The face tracking feature should spook most criminals who are casing a joint for invasion. I want them to see the cam tracking them.
Thx folks.
Davis Smile

Interesting.... Is it a Static Cam or does it actually move ?

Put a link in your message so we can have a look at your Gadget.

If it has a Video Output then it can be wired into a DVR !

P.S Sounds like a Swann special (scorpians favorite manufacturer) Very Happy

Yay!

Why can't all of my customers pay for 5M pixal cams instead?

Face Accessories are 2D images, such as wigs, glasses, or bushy eyebrows, that will appear on top of your video and move with your image during a video instant messaging session.

Hello!

I would like this wireless camera that you have in the glass case. I am trying to watch who is stealing my mail from my mailbox.

You mean I can't get a video of the guy's face?

What do you mean that I have to change a 9 volt battery everyday???

Well then it will watch my car at night then.

NO??

Why not?

What is IR?

Oh Kay! I will take the wireless outdoor IR cam.

Oh?

I only have $50.00!

I need a vcr too? Well Ya! I do want to record.

Yikes! You mean I have to buy 7 tapes, one for each day, and I need 3 tapes a day for 24 hour recording?

I feel dizzy

I would like to see this tech used at a pos (point of sale).

The software puts a circle around an item that has not been rung up, and tracks the item such as "under the cart theft" ect!

How about a circle on the guy/girl who is walking the wrong way such as at an airport, or a theme park where travel paths are directional.

I know they have this tech, but in a cheaper software version.

Hey, a 9v Battery Camera, I think I can sell this to protect our airports and military installations on a maintance contract and make my fortune.

I will be the next Bill Gates

I think we should go back to Betamax tapes but hey instead of one tape a day set the VCR to 400 hours timelapse and call it Video Analytics

Is this what Sunday's does to us Guy's !

I got my answer and a lot of friendly chiding.. Ok, I'll be the goat, but, WHAT ARE TAPES??

Wink

I do have a nice professional installed system, well planned and records to a offsite dvr. I like it.

One thing though, my vandal armored unit on my barn took only one shotgun blast and that was it. Seems a 10 year old farm boy was just out hunting cameras. Police report reads- no investigation warranted.

Thanks guys
Davis
