now, wat im trying to do is, i've connected this to my computer (winxp) over lan. (one server n two nods)
Installed Wavereader V4.2.47 (latest)
Configured the SDVR for local network.
I can ping it's IP via cmd
Also i can connect the Storesafe Pro via webinterface
so end of the story, I can connect my pc with the SDVR
now, the problem begins, Inspite of my connectivity with the device, im not at all able to view the video/camera. System does not give any kinda errors. I even decreased its TCP MTU Size to 1200 (the lowest), but still its not at all working. I cant even get into Disk Info menu from Wavereader.
Since last one week im after this, but nothing is helping me out
I hope you guys can really solve my issue.
Sorry for my bad english.
Regards

What exactly happens when you try to connect through the adress book? Do you get a time out?

First of all, Thank You Michelangelo for helping me
And, nothing happens when I try to connect or get connected.
No errors are generated
All it says it Connected to 192.168.0.1 (which's my storesafe pro's IP)
But, all i can get is a green screen and no video
Regards

Sounds like you dont have the right port open. Or my problem was when I left the location the DSL modem would go to slepp so o could not ping it .

sounds like your just connecting over the local area network, correct? have you ever connected to another storesafe with that computer? what i am thinking is pc might not have all reqs. just a thought. if you are just on local network. the ports are not gonna matter if he is connecting from internet than it is not a port issue because he is connecting to unit just not getting images.

Do you have any firewall software on your computer? Ran into a problem with an Nvidia firewall on a computer. It would connect for a few seconds, sometimes even pull up a camera or two, then the connection would drop. Just a thought.
Another thought: Are any of the cameras set to covert in the DVR? Does your user in wavereader have permission to view covert cameras _________________ There's no place like 127.0.0.1
