I just got a CPC4038WD from SCDlink to replace a Sony HyperHAD that was failing. I run a small private cable system in the building to monitor what is happening on stage (theatres). The last time I bought a WDR camera, the lens just plugged right in and it was a straight swapout. This time, when I plug in the 4-pin jack to enable the lens, the image pops up for second, and then fades to black. Nothing I can do can bring it back. If I half-plug the jack in, the iris seems to be stay open. I also do not have the same dynamic range as the other camera (iris is not actually being controlled?), and not all of my Computar lenses work in the camera. Do I have a bad camera? Does it require a different wiring of the plug? I'm a bit lost. I would post links, but I'm new and shiny and not allowed, so you'll have to use "the google", sorry.

Check to see if there is a switch on the camera for dc/ video depending on the type of lens, you need to set the switch for the lens type. Hope this helps _________________ Pegasus CCTV Tech support Rick www.pegasuscctv.com

Try turning the ALC up. I believe this adjust power to the lens and maybe it is set too low to keep the lens open.
Just another thought.
