myiicu 0 Posted March 27, 2014 Most entry level dvr's have an internal hard drive to record images. Most entry level dvr's have an external usb port to allow back up only of recorded images from internal hard drive. If you are installing a internal hard drive into your dvr for the first time, and hd is not detected, than you have a problem with either hd or dvr. Install suspect hd in tested good dvr or replace suspect hd with tested good hd to determine source of problem. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
