Setting up Sannce 8 camera system on a budget

Recommended Posts

Hi

I am in the UK

I have just bought a Sannce DL81B DVR (8 channel) along with 8 cameras for my house

Most of the cameras will be installed just below the roofline of the house, which means that the cables will come into the loft.

Rather than run all 8 cables down two floors into my study down to the box, I am thinking of installing the whole system in the loft. I have power up there so that wouldnt be a problem.

However I wouldnt want to go up into the loft to view it etc. So if I went for this option I would need remote control from a different location in the house.

What are the options here please, both wired and wireless?

Also, rather than buy a monitor for this i was thinking of using an old laptop to view and set up. Is this feasable pleas and if so how?

Thanks

Thanks

I'm super thick. So any step by step detail would be very much appreciated.

Essentially I want a monitor in the house and be able to control the dvr from inside the house while the dvr resides in the loft

Thanks again

Amazing that I have found and managed to use an old crt monitor to test it out!

It's all I could locate. I think I have a flat screen monitor somewhere but I don't know where.

Until I can get one cheap I think I'll use this....

Well its been a while.

I ended up running the cables through the house to the dvr.

The dvr is in the study with the monitor etc. Turns out I have 2 unused flat screen monitors. One is now a spare for this.

I will have 6 cameras in the eves of the house.

Just need to decide where to put the other 2 to get eye level footage
