960H means 960x576 resolution (that is 0.5 megapixels resolution). Current systems go way higher than that, I agree that anything under 1080p (1920x1080, which is 2 megapixels) is outdated.
You will be better than with nothing with that $333 system, sure. But it is crap. And whenever you want to get a better system, you will find that the cable will have to be replaced, which will be a pain in the ass. Whatever system you get, no matter how crappy, it would be a good idea to get something that uses network cable, and not cheap pre-made analog cables (with BNC connectors).

network cables? we make ethernet cables at work with cat 5 connectors on them, is that the same thing?
