Is it safe to keep your DVR/NVR running 24x7

Recommended Posts

Hi, is it safe to keep your DVR/NVR running in the house constantly?

I'm a bit worried about keeping items running in the house when I am away etc...

I've installed mine in the loft where it has adequate ventilation.

But I'm still worried about it running all the time.

How do you run yours?

Thanks

I run mine 24/7.

If there is a power failure i have a commercial grade battery back up that will keep my dvr and power to all 8 cameras running for 6-8 hours.

Hi,

I was more worried about the device overheating and catching fire while in the loft.

I don't mind if the power to it fails because I can always restore that.

Thanks
