What PC configuration should I have for Hikvision remoteview

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I want to ask what desktop PC configuration do I need for a surveillance system with 16 IP cameras and 1 NVR for remote viewing. The surveillance system will be connected to internet using the P2P function, and the PC will be placed in another room (from the NVR) for remote viewing (and possibly modifying some settings). The cameras will record at 25FPS 1080P, as for the stream (if my network will allow) it will be 30 FPS at 720P. I want to know what configuration will be ok, so that the desktop PC won't crash/lag/freeze etc. For remote view I will be using Hikvision desktop app iVMS-4200

Will this configuration be ok ?

Processor: Intel I5 7400 Kaby Lake with 4 cores 3 GHz and TurboBoost: 3.5 GHz

Ram: 8GB

Video card: AMD Radeon RX 550 with 2GB

HDD: 1TB

Or this ?

Processor: Intel I5 6400T Skylake with 4 cores 2.20 GHz and TurboBoost: 2.8 GHz

Ram: 8GB

Video card: GeForce GTX 750Ti with 2GB

HDD: 1TB

Both systems will run Windows 10

If this configurations are not good enough, please recommand me something.

Thank you
