OH!

So it's just phone lines, and naturally, cell phones after that...
Maybe a big fish bit the lines going across the ocean!

I can't believe its lasted all day though... Must mean the telco company has a serious problem.

EDIT: Here's a webpage about it:

though this outage is very serious .. 911 and 919 for example wouldnt work either neither would most monitored alarms without radios .. but it is one of the first like it.

I would think there would have been a rash of break-ins by now, if this place is really as crazy as you say it is!

Do you really hide weapons in your yard? :D

well crime is bad everywhere these days though it has become a little out of hand here now .. but yeah probably have been ... being friday lots of drunks on the road (no drunk driving law here) and out partying probably been alot of accidents by now also and probably stabbings as well. plenty times cant get 911 or 919 anyway regardless of something like this .. i tried at one accident outside my place one time, even the cops passed by and could not reach the emergency services, someone had to drive to the hospital to get them to send an ambulance ..

and yes i gotta do what i gotta do! :D
no guns though as they are mostly against the law other then for pigeon shooting and i dont want to end up in this prison here!

The saying:

"If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns"

Is so true!

I think it would be better off if they were legal in your place. Then the criminals would think twice before they get blow away trying to hold up someone!

I am very happy my country allows guns!
