Unusual request for advice from Wildlife filmaker

Beehives and cctv

Hi all,

This is my first post and I could really do with some advice...

I need to set up a system that will allow me to remote monitor some beehives in the Bosnian mountains.

I have electricity and internet availability nearby.

I need a system that is 1080p and that would allow me to connect high end cameras to it but would also like an integrated network viewing and recording possibility as well as real time online broadcasting capability.

In the first instance it just needs to be a proof of concept so I would like to keep costs down as much as possible. Also I would like a solution that is easy to set up - I have a reasonably technical background but not in this area and would like to make it as easy as possible for myself to prove the concept before looking for a more substantial budget to do it with a bespoke system with broadcast cameras etc...

I am Mac based but if necessary

can run virtual pc's.

Are there any off the shelf systems that would be able to meet my needs - if remote realtime viewing is possible i can work out the recording myself. Or if there is nothing suitable what system could you recommend that has the easiest learning curve?
