10 hours non-stop recording with timecode

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

Im a newb but I hoping to learn more about what kind of system would be needed for a project and if anyone has any advice to offer.

I am looking to help a friend out that is doing a project requiring video and audio documentation of a 10 hour session in 3 separate rooms at the same time.

Despite the fact that the filming needs to be for 10 hours, it will need to be continuous, will need to have 3 xlr mic inputs for each room, and the sound and video will need to be synced with timecode for further editing.

I have been looking at the blackmagic hyperdeck studio as a recording source. Can anyone suggest a camera that can also take xlr sound inputs or some combination of a camera or sound recording device that can be fed into the hyperdeck?

It is ideal that the camera is discrete but I am also open to more traditional camera options. There will also need to be a live feedback of each of the rooms and what is being recorded.

Thanks in advance for any help.
