Hi

I have a DS-7732NI-I4 16p/kb with a 24port poe switch. What i want to do is connect all the ip cameras (20) throught the switch. However it seems that when adding anymore than 16 to the switch it displays "no more ip camera allowed" when trying to activate them. At the same time it wont let me delete the first 16 cameras .(D1-D16 ). Does that mean that hikvisaion want you to use the onboard 16 ports and only 16 can be connected via the LAN?

Thanks in adavnce.

You need to disable the channels 1-16 from using the integrated POE ports, then you will be able to add them from the network.

You do NOT have to delete them; there is a setting to choose if it will use the POE port, or just add it from the network.

Thanks. I managed to do it by selecting the manual option in ediit camera setting and entering the cameras ip address.
