Made my own Dahua SD59220T-HN demo. Would be good for farmers too, tested how far ear tag could be read,

the last one can be seen when in Full HD fullscreen mode.

Thanks for sharing jmcu

Is it possible that you can also share some pictures that are taken during the night?

I am interested to see how powerful the IR lights can let you see in the distant.

As always, I prefer Dahua camera, over Hikvision, colour presentation is better

than the latter.

Thanks jmcu

Hmmm... the focus of camera's IR is more like directional

rather than spreading out 90degrees. I could be wrong here.

I think you are correct. On all my Dahua PTZ's the IRs are wide when zoomed out and pretty direct when zoomed in.

I just picked up a Soar970 PTZ and the IRs are quite a bit wider.

it is a 8 mp dome. I will put up some night pics soon.

Still testing it out.

Here are some snapshots of a HZSoar 4k mobile PTZ. Photo then zoomed.

It is a 8mp with a 1/1.7 sensor@ 30fps. 22x

h264 / 265 with 2 sub streams

The image quality is overall very good if not excellent.

There was some noise in the dark area in pic 3, top but that may because I didn't have all the settings correct.

I would of expected a lot more noise around the outside of the image but it was rather good.

Each snap shot is about 32MB so these are way downsized. the link at the bottom has a few photos at 50% ratio.

I don't know of a hosting site for 4k photos

Im thinking of buying the HD-SDI with 4.0MP Dome varifocal . I installed one at a customers house, and its similar but cost efffective vs Ip. What is everyone thoughts? Even the HIkvision 2.4MP DOmes are good.

Did u use HIK camera ?
