I think this is a great deal on a complete 4-channel system with 4 720P cameras and 4 CH NVR with POE. I believe the components are just rebranded Dahua cameras and NVR. The cameras are QCN7005B and the NVR is QC814. It's being sold as 4CH NVR but I believe it is an 8CH NVR but only 4 POE ports.

The camera is the updated version of QCN7001B which in turn is a Dahua IPC-HFW2100 so it should be able to do 1280x960 (1.3MP) at 15fps and 1280x720 at 30fps. Focal length is 3.6mm. NVR is probably the same as Dahua NVR3104-P/NVR3108-P. System comes with 4 100ft Cat5 cables too.

It would cost more to just buy 4 cameras separately at $130 which is the lowest I've seen the Dahua camera goes for. I bought two systems and should receive it tomorrow. Standard shipping is also free and only $10 extra for overnight to California.

Is it just me or does this look like an advertisement? I think HikVision (Swann/Lorex) are better cams. I still have one Dahua (q-see) in my system, keeps a watch of the basement.

I just bought this set and I'm trying to use the cameras separate from the NVR. I have tried iSpy with all of the recommended URLs for the qcn7001b, and I have used iSpy's scan functions for all q-see paths and Dahua paths, and it does not detect any video.

The camera is on the network and taking a DHCP IP. Going to port 80 returns nothing and http on port 554 gets an empty response, which indicates to that me the camera is on and working, but waiting for a properly formed request(?)

Has anyone gotten these to work sans NVR? What do I need to do to get them to work?

sorry to bump, but you're on the wrong port. you need to be connecting to port 85. also, you have a PoE switch right? if not, you're running an external PoE injector?
