Geovision GV-VD320D Motion Blur at night...

Recommended Posts

We have a couple of GV-VD320D cameras. At night if a car drives by it's just a blur, can't see anything. How can we tweak the camera to get a better picture of faster moving objects? our analog low resolution cameras do a better job..

I have attached an example...

thanks!

To get rid of motion blur for people walking by, you'll want 1/30 second as the longest exposure. Cars and runners will still blur at that setting. 1/60 second is better, but many cams are getting pretty dark at that point.

You've got a fair bit of light, but you'll have to try different settings to see if it's enough.

Under camera adjustment menu, shutter speed (1/5s to 1/4000s) can be adjusted by 3 preset options for low light conditions.

auto (low light, balanced)

auto (low light, speed)

auto (low light, quality)

Well if u cannot manually adjust, you will be stuck using a preset I guess. Change the preset and see if the shutter speed changes along with it. Send me a screen shot as I'm not familiar with that camera if u like. Aj
