Dahua SADP?

I just received a SD42C212S-HN but it came with a defective CD-ROM disk (bubbled label), I've been tooling around on Dahua's site downloading everything that looks promising,,,,,but not having much luck so far.

All I know so far is its default ip address is 192.168.1.108 (I haven't changed the ip address on any of my machines yet so I can plug into it that way

I was so impressed with Hik's SADP software, I almost expected it to take care of this Dahua camera for me too.....

So what I'm looking for is:

admin/admin

Admin account seems to be locked - you've tried more than 3 bad combinations in a 30 minutes timeframe. Reboot the camera and retry admin/admin.

Is there a good program for Dahua that's comparable to Hikvision's SADP?

I bot some cameras from the Ne word, seems like they had another program.....I'll have to look for the disks.

I'm not very familiar with HIK's SADP, but DAHUA's Config Tool should help you. That's all you need.

I actually like Config tool, don't have to install anything like Hikvision's SADP. Just extract to a folder and click the exe and it works. A tip is right click on your device and do 'open device web' and will automatically try to open the NVR with the :http port already filled in, great for when you forget what you changed the http port to.

if you have a hard time finding where to download, should be in your CD or the website of the store where you got the camera from.

My 2nd tip: wire&connect cameras in order and never connect more than one "new/out-of-box" camera at the same time.
