Changed the Http port on DS-2CD3132-I and no more access

Recommended Posts

Hi,

For test purpose, I changed the Http port from 80 to 8081 on a Hikvision DS-2CD3132-I and since I can't access it any more and can't changed to http port back to 80, I do not find any reset button

What should I do ?, what is the solution ?

Thank you for your help

Have you added the port number to the ip address in your web browser eg 192.0.0.64:8081

You can try the SADP utility to change the port number.

Hi Spark,

Yes I have added the 8081 port to the camera IP,

The SADP utility detects the camera in question for roughly 1 minute to finally desappearing and can only reappear when stopping and restarting SADP, but unless I'm wrong, the only port showned in SADP is the service port which is equal to 8000, I do not see a way to change the Http port through SADP !!

Am I wrong ?

Are you sure there is no reset button.

Sometimes they are just small pinholes that you need to stick a paperclip into.

Nope, can't locate any pinholes, I did look for it very carefully , there is that small battery, that I can't even remove, it's soldered on the board !!!

Thanks iTuneDVR, I've installed and executed the Client Demo prog, trying to understand the way it works, but so far it doesn't not detect my cam

Use ClientDemoEn.exe utils from HCNetSDKV4.2.8.1_build20140115_win32_EN package.

You can tune everything!

If you can not get through to the camera, then make TFTP restore your camera and all the issues resolved themselves.

PC LAN = 192.0.0.128

run TFTP server with digicap.dav file in directory

reboot IPC and watch the messages

After succes close TFTP!

iTuneDVR

Not sure I fully understand what to do

1: you want me to set my PC IP address to 192.0.0.128 for my Ethernet connection to the cam , is that correct ? if yes I know how to do it

2: I have downloaded TFP server, but do not understand and or how to do "run TFTP server with digicap.dav file in directory" , can you expand please ?

You should be able to reset the camera. Does your model have a reset button? This is a common problem I've been seeing, maybe a bug in the latest firmware where people change port numbers and the cameras goes into a reboot cycle.

Put the firmware file digicap.dav in the directory in the TFTP server.

The IPC will take the file from the TFTP.

Thanks, the Hik firmware leaves me concerned once again.

I'm hoping someone with the skills will start offering custom firmwares.

I checked my 2132 and don't see a reset on it either.

OK, this is the first time I install an IP cam and not familiar with firmware updates

My DS-2CD3132-I cam is currently at a Master version : V5.1.6 build 140412

& Encoded version : V5.0 build 140411

What is the right firmware / digicap.dav version I need to use and from where I should download it ?

I would assume your camera has "CCCH" in it's serial number making it a Chinese version.

2nd assumption, the 3132 is the same as the 2132 only sold in China. If this is in fact so, flashing with English 2132 version firmwares (using tftp) will cause your language menus to display in Chinese if you flash anything newer than the multilingual 5.10 firmware.

This can be fixed either using the Hex edit hack (temporary, needs reworking with each version) or the CBX region change fix (permanent, works with all current versions).

Firmwares can be downloaded from the regional Hikvision web and FTP sites.

Ah, a 2132 (the title was 3132), then you are out of luck, there's no reset button I know of. Have you tried using the https port (or is that changed too). To access that, use https instead of http and put :443 at the end. I think it's just a flaw in 5.1.6, change the port number and it goes bad.

To all, I fixed the non http access to the cam (After modifying the http port) by installing the latest v520 firmware with tftpserv.

I am now back to the initial situation , meaning I can access the cam on my local network, but not from outside / remote, this is why according some litterature I had modified the http port from 80 to 8081.

Thanks for your help

I am no port expert and may be wrong here but why port 8081?

The only reason I ask is because I thought there were other sources that used port 8081.

I always change the web port from port 80 to 85.

It's not the port number, it's just a bug in the newer firmware, makes the camera go into a reboot loop. Your best bet is either to go to 5.1 firmware using TFTP where I know it works or keep the camera at port 80 as most routers can do port mapping, meaning you can setup port forwarding on port 8081 remotely, but it maps it back to port 80 on the camera. That's how I do all my port forwarding now, it's easier in that I don't have to mess with camera settings. I can swap a bad camera out and keep the same rules. In my case, I portmap 80 and 554 and I'm able to access the cameras remotely, no problem.

I don't have a 2132 here, but I thought I would take apart a 2032 to see where in the circuit board the reset button connects to as maybe there's a spot on the 2132 circuit board with the same markings that can be temporarily shorted to reset the camera.
