Hikvision 2132 faulty firmware update

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys, really need some help. I have currently 2 HIkvision 2cd-2132 cameras running. The oldest I've upgraded to 5.2.3 through the IVMS4200 software.

The other I tried but it bricked during the process.

I'm able to ping it on 192.0.0.64 and apply new (and old) firmware packets. I've tried both 5.2.3, 5.2.0 and 5.1.2 firmware but something is odd when I compare the file structure of the 2

Working has this file/folder structure.

drwxr-xr-x 20 root root 1024 Feb 15 09:16 .

drwxrwxrwx 16 0 Feb 15 09:20 ..

drwxrwxrwx 16 0 Feb 15 09:20 .

I've tried to issue the "upgrade" command, but it does not change anything.

Is there a feasible way to get all the stuff from the working cam to the not-working.

Solve it by myself

Have to use a valid digicap.dav file

Upload with TFTP -> TFTP server running + switch-off/switch-on of the camera

Once completed, connect with telnet using root and 12345

Once connected -> type upgrade

After upgrade -> type reboot

Now can access via web and configure the camera
