LOGGING OFF MENU BLOCKS OUT CAMERAS

Recommended Posts

I have an HDIP camera system (by GW Security) and I'm running into an issue where I log off the NVR Main Menu (Model 832N by GW Security) and all but 3 cameras black out. I have no idea what setting to check to see why the cameras are "blacking out". The viewing squares go dark and there is a padlock icon that appears on the bottom right of each blacked out square. The channel and channel name are still visible but you can't see any streaming. Once I log back on to the main menu all cameras return back to normal. I can't leave it like this as it basically means I have to be constantly logged in for the cameras to work and that can't possibly be right. It didn't do that before. Right now I have the basic setting at 0 minutes meaning no setting so the Auto Log Off doesn't kick in (and black out most of the cameras). Any help on what setting to check would be appreciated. I asked GW and they have not gotten back to me and I'm not confident they will know the answer since they don't know their own product very well. It's not mean if it's true! They're friendly and try to assist but that means nothing if things don't get fixed.
