Got remote access to NVR but no video stream ?

Hi all

Im sure its just me being a noob at routing but here goes.

I port forwarded my NVR, TCP 85 and UDP 5050, and i have remote access through my_ip:85 - but no video stream ???

What am i missing to port through ?

Probably the RTSP port; check the ports that your NVRs uses (you do not even say what NVR you have, so it is hard to guess).

Thought the same put where do i add that in the router, it only states tcp/udp ?

Router is a linksys and NVR i standard 8ch cheapo from eBay

No way to know then what ports it uses, check the network config section on the NVR. There's probably more than just two ports.

As mentioned i have forwarded HTTP port 85 and UDP 5050.

Make 5050 TCP+UDP. You also need to forward 554, that is for video streaming, and to make sure I would also forward 1935.

When in doubt, make them always TCP+UDP.

Best working browser on the NVR is IE but thats not durabel on an iPhone
