I would like to know if I could set up a 4 Channel NVR and connect to a 24PORT GiGABIT switch. Will this work as POE or should i make some changes. ssmith10pn 0 Posted March 3, 2017 If you have a 4 channel NVR you can only connect 4 cameras period. Doesn't matter if the cameras are plugged into the NVR or a switch. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
