Viewing on internet

Recommended Posts

Is their a way to view my cameras directly through the Internet straight to my router as I have noticed the dvr uses hik connect domain/servers.

I really don't want to rely on them as it's like having a middleman.

the best way of cctv over the internet is get a static ip attached by your provider explain its for the cctv use on your premises and they should be able to alocate you a static ip address

Ok will ring virgin up and get one. Also how do I go about setting it up on my phone/tablet through IVMS 4500.

Another question comes to mind too will it slow or be any faster as it won't use their servers.

Hi. You might not need to pay for a static. Virgin media ip does not change often over a year .... once or twice.

I would setup port forwarding with what you already have.
