Remote operation of Video matrix switcher unit

CCTV Party has supplied Video Matrix switcher and a keyboard for monitoring Video output.But the requirement is to view the monitor with a remote control facility.How can I make this one with remote?.Are there any Switcher with a Remote facility.?.

If any such,what would be the protocol issues for a new setup?

or

Is it possible Keep a DVR(which has Remote facility) in a room(Other than control room where camera outputs are connected to a Switcher) without using any switcher?. .For this whats more is required in the network i.e after receiver?.

or

Using a wireless mouse along with a Video switcher and keyboard...For this whats new things have to be added?.

Please give an idea how to make the operation with a remote control.
