We have purchased a 36299V 9/16CH H.264 Stand-alone DVR. No label referring to the brand or manufacturer, but after researching through Google, it seems to be manufactured by LAN Castle Technology Co. China.
We have modified by mistake the default administrator username and password to be both blank (no characters whatsoever). Since then, we are not being able to access the DVR menu pages even if we put "aa" as username and "11" as password. Also, if we enter both blank in username and password, access is prohibited.
In the DVR's datasheet, the user is asked to contact the DVR manufacturer in case this occured. Do you guys have any way to reset the DVR back to factory settings (and eventually the default admin username and password back to "aa" and "11").
Note that we do not have any driver or CD for the purchased DVR.
Your soonest feedback is appreciated.

This advise is without any support if you break it.
Open the DVR (powered down), remove the battery that holds the BIOS. If there is a super cap, short it out.
This can sometimes cause a clean restart.
