Real manufactor and firmware for Sunluxy DVR

Recommended Posts

The Sunluxy DVR http://www.sunluxy.com/p.html

is made by Juan http://www.tv2211.com

Sunluxy 8CH (SL-7108) is similar to Juan JA7208

Sunluxy 4 CH (SL-7104) is similar to Juan JA7204

Firmware: http://www.tv2211.com/TechDown.asp

http://www.juancctv.com/downloads.html

I did a update on a SL-7108/JA7208 from 1.6.5 to 1.6.13 without any problems.

It is now a good DVR for cheap money.

SL-7108/JA7208 is also similar to this one http://dx.com/p/embedded-linux-8-ch-network-dvr-digital-video-recorder-w-dual-usb-lan-vga-more-107322

It is inadvisable to update firmware unless you are ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN that you have the correct firmware for your device. If you don't you may ruin your device.

oh my god thank you so much this worked like a charm now running the latest firmware on my crappy 4ch sunluxy h.264 DVR

all u need to update your dvr is to download DVR_Firmware.rar from http://drivers.amazplus.com/download/ put the files on a usb formatted with fat32 power on your dvr with the usb stick inserted and navigate to the system update page and bing your done

its also worth noting for all of you that forgot your admin passwords that this firmware resets all user data

HELLO!

i just wanted to know if there had been any developments?

i have a sunluxy 4 channel DVR that i want to do something ( anything ) to its firmware.

sunluxy support is non existent. i heard there was one update going around but destroyed alot of units. i also heard people where loading firmware from other brands (Juan) but as to exactly which jaun firmware im unsure.

does anyone know of any sunluxy updates? or is anyone familiar with Juan (or any other brand) that has firmware that maybe compatible? or is it possible to even just reinstall the original firmware?

i know installing other brands firmware is risky but iv pretty much decided im going to have to replace my DVR anyway- so im just gonna give it ago an see what happens.

system details :

SLDVR4-4600

SOFTWARE VERSION 7.02

MCU 1

RELEASE DATE 2011.11.24
