Recommended Posts

How do I change the boot logo / splash screen on a CCTV H.264 DVR running embedded BusyBox Linux.

I have root access to the box and have found a pile of .gif image files in /mnt/pic but none of these are the screen that is shown at boot up

does anyone know the file format and location

many thanks

Hello, I also have a generic DVR, I'm trying to change the logo on the boot screen. Could you tell me how you made the root access? Was via Telnet? Where and how did you get the password?

Initially by telnet and leave pw blank. There is also a serial port on the board.

I've tried to do this, root root, admin, admin, root and admin with no password, and many others. The serial port I have access only to send another firmware and etc.. I can not access the files that are already there.
