How to Automatic Capture Snapshot from a DVR

1.0 I have a H. 264 DVR (Panasonic SP-DR04) which is networked to a PC running Panasonic client software. The 4 chanel dvr images are viewed on the LAN connected PC and the snapshot is captured at click of button. I want to capture the snapshot automatically by some method. Say clicking snapshot when the reference object comes. I am viewing the same object again and gain in a steel plant rolling mill. At presnt i have to give a manual input (mouse click), when the desired image comes to get a jpg snapshot. Can it be automated. The saved video is in avi format.

2.0 Is there some software , whch can extract defined images snapshot from a AVI file recored in dvr.

In motion detection for that channel there might be a capture option. If you don't see it, your Dvr does not have the ability to do it.
