Samsung SME-2220n issue

Hi! I don't know if anyone here can help, but I'm going to give it a try. I have a Samsung SME-2220n Flat panel monitor DVR. A while ago, it started cycling through a reboot phase that seemed endless. Later, it stopped restarting itself constantly, but now I can't access any menus with the mouse or remote. The cursor for the mouse is displayed as an hourglass but still moves around, so I know it isn't frozen. It still shows a live feed but isn't recording or allowing me to click a screen to enlarge it. I don't know if anyone here has any ideas of what to try, but I'd appreciate anyone pointing me in the right direction. I've been all over the internet but can't seem to find anything.
