Hikvision 7104 issues

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, my hikvision 7104 wont allow me to add any of my ip cameras.

I keep getting "unknown error" when I try.

Its the same with a hikviosion dome camera as well as the pod cam. I have tried via wifi and cabled and just get the same result. Both cameras work fine stand alone, but the dvr refuses to add them.

Any ideas?

Thanks

What model do you have? Because if you do have a DVR, well, it does not support IP cameras.

If it is a NVR, make sure the cameras are working at a resolution that is supported by the NVR.

Hi, yes sorry it is indeed an NVR that says it supports 5mp cameras and my highest quality one is 4mp.

I can list and see the cameras on the NVR menu, but trying to add them into the record list creates "unknown error"

Hi, its a 7104ni/SW says 5mp on the box.

I think it's a password issue, the NVR doesn't seem to like the alphanumeric passwords that the cameras require.

Maybe?

Maybe firmware update, solve your problem.

What is your firmware version ? The newest firmware version is V2.3.8 build151226 .

And check ip of cameras . You must add the cameras manually.
