Diskspace utilized bet 2 identical cams on 2 different rooms

Hi everyone, I'm relatively new to DVRs and also here. Can someone explain to me if there is a difference in recorded disk space or disk utilized between 2 identical cameras on 2 different rooms or location? DVR settings on this 2 cameras are the same but 1 of the camera is placed in a room where only 2 person who goes in and out of it (stockroom) and the other room has 8 persons who works and sits all day doing office work (office room). Someone told me that the other camera that is placed on the "office room" tends to utilize more disk space in terms of recording than the the other camera. I just want to know if this is true... It would depend if you have the recording set for motion detection or full time recording plus the frame rate setting could be different between cameras.
