Lorex 8 channel dvr went toast. need a compatible dvr

I have a Lorex 8 channel system installed in my house. I know its a bottom of the barrel brand. It was a gift from my parents.

8 CH 1080p hd cvi dvr

model # lhv210800.

I need a dvr that will work with my cameras. My Lorex dvr doesn't work anymore and its out of warranty. Can I have some good options that won't break my wallet please.

Hi the lorex is a dahua.

You can go with the new hikvision model but you would not have full control.

Give lorex a call but tell them you already have cvi cameras

I am assuming my cameras are CVI and I need a CVI dvr. My Lorex dvr crapped out in less than a year. I was wanting to try another brand? any recommendations ?

Hi. Cvi is licences from dahua

So dahua lorex or icrealtime....... And hikvision but I would give hik a miss
