HELP! HIKVISION DS-7208HGHI-SH Setup

Hi Team,

Need your help. Bellow is the specification:

HikVision : DVR DS-7208HGHI-SH

Firmware:v3.3.3. build 160716

Setup: I have a ADSL2+

dlink Modem: DSL-2520U_Z2

Modem Lan IP: 192.168.1.1

in DMZ IP defined: 192.168.1.2

Modem is connected to Wireless router: Asus RT AC68U

LAN IP of Router: 10.0.0.1

WAN IP : 192.168.1.2

DDNS: Hikvision and is working;

Static IP for DVR: 10.0.0.2 ( I can also access the same using 192.168.1.2).. All the necessary ports on Modem/Router are open ( 80,8000,554).

Ipconfig on cmd: show default gateway as 10.0.0.1

Issue: I am able to access feed on 3G as well as in Home wifi via iVMS 4500. But when I try to connect on external Wifi, I am not able to connect and get error connection timeout. Though ports are open on external wifi.

On Windows iVMS 4200, I get device offline error.

Can you please advice what steps I need to take to resolve this. Thanks in advance.. if you need additional info, please let me know.

Why even bother with a "router" when your modem already has "Ethernet ports"?

Plug you DVR straight into one of your modem's Ethernet Ports and forget your confusion.

You find out your Internet I.P. by visiting http://www.db-ip.com

Your IP is displayed in the upper r/h corner of web-page.

Use that IP to connect from "outside":followed by the opened port on DVR.

eg.:

125.139.45.6:80

For testing purposes,

If you want to try to connect from your "internet IP" (outside) from within the same network, you can go through an online proxy.

Easiest way to connection to Internet is using HiCloud P2P. Register an account using some email address, add your DVR/NVR (activate Platform Access) using verification code on Device's label ( 6 Capital letters) and that's it ! It must work on any kind of Internet connection, regardless of router settings.
