Is the internal Nic and IP address only provided on poe nvr?

Recommended Posts

Is the internal ip switch with its own ip address range (as opposed to the external lan ip port) only provided if the nvr supports poe? I get the impression that non poe nvr’s have both nvr and camera ip’s on a common subnet with no separate internal nic (is that correct?) Why would a non poe nvr with ip ports for the cameras be any different is this regard (other than not supplying power via the network cable?)

Regards

That is two different connection methods, POE NVR shows like use Invisible network built-in switch port only for the POE cameras, you can image POE port as a built-in switch. yangooo.com
