New Member Saying Hello

Hello to all,

I am an avid electronics hobbyist and licensed commercial and residential GC hailing from New Orleans. I just wanted to say hello to all the members and I will be picking y'alls brain in the coming weeks. I install camera systems in many of our projects however these systems are subcontracted and typically specified by the architects. In other words, I see the end product and see that it works, but I don't have a good enough understanding of the pros and cons regarding different systems. The sub's we use are helpful but all of them push a specific product and I am looking for unbiased information. I digress, I am currently working on my personal home and I have begun cabling. I will ask the nitty gritty questions in the proper sub-forum. I also have a commercial building that will be a topic in coming months. Anywho I just wanted to introduce myself to all!
