Disk storage space low detected

Recommended Posts

One of my GeoVision machines is emailing me every 5 minutes to let me know "Disk storage space low detected." The system has 5 hard drives, and all of them have 5-10GB free. Is there a setting somewhere to adjust when this email goes out? Thanks!

Thanks for the reply!

Where is "overwrite feature"?

System Log Setting

- Keep Days: 12 (reduced from 15 earlier today, but hasn't helped)

- Recycle: [checked]

General Setting

- Video Log Storage: Recycle: [checked]

I have run into a problem where there are old files left on the harddrive if the number of days setting was put into effect after the files were saved. I would run a delete and go back a year or so and see what that frees up.

Recycle = Overwrite. You already enabled it.

In that case you may want to check on the email alert.

For some systems, when the current loop is completed before overwriting the current loop, it'll send out a warning saying that the disk is full.

Also, avoid using the storage drive to store other files. Sometimes it screw up the DVR file systems.

Just for disclaimer, I don't have much experience with Geovision system. I am speaking on general terms based on experiences with other brands.

You may not want to take my advice into consideration if someone more expert comes along and reply to your post. Until then.

Yes, that's exactly what I'd like to do. I just don't know how.
