Infa Red Remote Controller

A remote control device that allows the user to control a Geovision DVR with a hand held remote control, this allows the user to eliminate the need of a keyboard.

Object Index and Object Index Search

Pictures of the first frame of every AVI file can be displayed on a window on the main screen, this is cropped image that allows you to click on any photo and be taken directly to that event in the log file, automatically selecting the files you need. The Object index Search works in the same manor but allows the user to set a search period and it will display the first picture of each AVI frame and then selecting it would take you to the event at the time for easy back up. An example would be when a client knows that an intruder came in at a certain time but is not exactly sure what time it was, by selecting a wide range of times you can easy find the intruder with his picture and select that segment.

PTZ Motion Tracking

Using two cameras (one PTZ and one standard camera) the PTZ can tell the difference in the picture and therefore can track people by movement, this is very useful in high traffic areas and allows the camera to zoom in and trace a moving object around a room

PTZ Zooming

Using a PTZ camera, you can set a preset zoom area that will become activated when that part of the picture detects movement. An example would be to set the DVR to detect movement on the front door of your premise and when motion detection occurs the camera will automatically zoom in and get a closer shot.

Object Counting/ Log Object Counter/ Object Counter Alarm

By defining the size of an object and by setting two areas for directional flow, the DVR can actually count the number of objects that travel between the two points this is then kept in a database file for further reference, this data can also be seen remotely via a web browser. an example of this would be to count the directional flow between points of a busy high rise and then to know how many people are still left to evacuate in the case of a fire or perhaps a conveyer belt counting objects that travel down the line. A good feature is also the wrong way alarm that can be triggered when an object moves in the wrong direction, for example.. Exiting out of a fire door or wrong way traffic.

Smart Monitor Suite

The DVR now has the ability to handle Anti Terrorism problems, for example a box or any object left in a cameras view after motion has stopped will activate an on screen alert as well as alarm notification if needed, additionally the system can alert the user if an item is removed from a cameras view after motion detection. An example would be a jewellery shop with valuable jewels, if the customer leaves the shop and the item is no longer at the scene then it will alert on the screen or activate an alarm

SMS Server

Send SMS messages to groups or single users.

Vital Signs Monitor

Running this application will make every single DVR that you have sold report back to a central point to inform that it is still operating and that all cameras are operational

Windows Lock Up

With this feature you can lock down the windows desktop and only allow access to the programs that you wish, the entire desktop is replaced with a Geovision desktop that limits user intervention and disables the Ctrl Alt Delete option. You can even rename any of the applications or or use new icons to personalise the system. the system can also replace the task manager.

Additional Picture In Picture Camera

The system can be set to have an additional camera added to the screen layout and confirm your loading layout each time, the additional camera can be placed in the middle of the screen and can be linked to the Camera Pop Up facility so that any camera that has movement and is configured to Pop Up will be displayed in the middle of the screen.

Electronic E Map

Either remotely or on the local machine the DVR can use a twin view system that will allow the user to see a graphical representation of a map that can be used to detect camera movement, this is useful on larger sites or multiple sites when it can be hard to remember where each camera is, these events are logged so that event flow can be monitored. Remotely the user can see a graphical representation of the map interface as well, this also helps with bandwidth.

Improvements in Webcam

Higher resolutions can now be achieved in the Webcam Client, you can now get much larger pictures, a firewall has also been added to the Webcam so that you can choose the I.P. range that you wish to allow access to the Webcam. Pop up on Webcam has also been added to the remote facility. A time limit has been added if required for the control of a PTZ and and for the actual allowable connection time to the Webcam. If camera Pop Up is activated remotely it can also link to an output allowing for integration with devices.

A multi host connection can be pre configured to allow a preferred default setting allowing the user to choose a compiled view from several sites including the cameras that the user wishes to view. For example the user may have 4 sites and may want to view a few of the important cameras from each site, having a compiled view pre set, allows the user to automatically connect to the sites and cameras that the user wants to view in one easy way.

An advanced search ability has been added to the webcam viewer allowing the user to locate an event, motion, signal on, video loss, login, logout, counting results and Point of Sale events. These search results can be displayed in either a text form or a statistical chart. You can now look through or search your Point of Sale Transactions remotely.

Control Room Version #2 and Despatch Server

SMS alert has been added to the Control Room, the Control room can receive video events on software or hardware motion, it is capable of buffering the Video that is sent on alarm to any Control room in the world until your Control room is back on line, the Control room is similar to an Alarm Monitoring Station excepting that it only requires one line and that it sends video and text, each customers details can be displayed and if allowed the Control room can listen to the site that has alarmed and record it or can speak directly to the site.

If a panic button is installed at site, then it can be latched at the control room so that pushing the button, can then activate a device at the control room, Hardware pin panels can be linked to the DVR to allow the user to punch in a pin code to allow the video monitoring to activate on the DVR. The control room can also control any PTZ cameras on the site.

The Control Room can activate any outputs at the site and can be fed information from a Despatch server that will determine the best available control room to send the information or video to.

Touch Screen

The Geovision DVR now allows for the facility of a touch screen monitor.

Increased Pre Event Buffer

An increase has been made to allow more Pre Event information to be stored in the Ram before motion occurs, this requires more Ram than usual.

Invisible Mode

The DVR can now run fully in the background without even allowing the system to be seen in the taskbar, this allows the user to hide the system completely.

Twin DVR

If a DVR has too many clients connecting it will inevitably slow the recording down because the ram and the CPU will be used too much, a twin server allows the remote viewing load to be shifted to a second PC taking away the load off the DVR.

A few quick questions.

On the lock down windows feature, is it just disabling alt-cntr-delete or is it disabling all of the keys that can control/open a window like the windows key?

When it's running in invisable mode, does it show up in the processes list?

looks good, only thing, regarding the monitoring station, with alarms, we use recievers, not PCs, that buffer the data if the PC has gone down. Do they have a machine for this for the video, or is it still just the PC?

Thanks

regarding the buffering, it can be done with the contol room or despstch server and as far as the process list, it does not show as Geo replaces the task manger and any buttons you like, like the windows key for example
