4 cameras, 3 IR illuminators

Recommended Posts

cameras into Axis 2400:

top left cnb BBM24F f1.4 5-50mm (0.03 lux, no IRE spec'd)

top right bosch 0355 f1.4 5-50mm (0.09 lux 50 IRE f1.2)

lower left panasonic 484 f1.3 (0.06 lux f1.2 no IRE spec'd)

lower right sony ssc-dc593 f1.0 (0.07 lux 50 IRE f1.4 in turbo)

illuminators:

CNB MIR-1000 (30 deg 60m)

$5 ebay (20m 48LED)

Bosch EX12-8W (60 deg 3m wide angle version)

Setup:

Distance to illuminator to birch tree ~25ft. Illuminators are about 6 ft off the ground not angled. Cameras are a bit further, looking through a bay window.

Panasonic when the sensup x2 is used is close to the CNB. Sensup not used in these pics.

Have not found anything redeeming about the Sony, even using with a f1.0 it does not do that well at night. Turbo mode was not used here as it produced a very noisy picture.

Ebay illuminator is very much a spotlight type effect.

CNB provides a lot of light, might be even better up higher. Need to save my pennies and buy a newer Bosch D/N as shown by Shropna in an earlier thread.

I'd be interested someday to see a shoot out of a Mobotix and the Arecont AV3135, and how they compare to a good "analog" camera.
