Serengeti 0 Posted February 17, 2017 I'm looking to upgrade a 4mp camera running on a Q-See 8816 Nvr 16 channel security system, preferably to a 4k or better camera if possible. I see some 8mp Dahua cameras on ebay (hfw4800e and hfw4830e)..would those work with this Nvr, and/or are there other options? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
mattaggie 0 Posted February 18, 2017 When I google Q See 8816 I get different specs on the NVR. Do you have an exact model number? Or a link from where you bought it? Serengeti 0 Posted February 18, 2017 Higher res is not always better... Sure, but when it is, it can be nice. My goal is to gain better day recognition, and night if possible and affordable, of what gets recorded. I realize mp's and 4k's+ specs aren't everything to camera image quality.
