eneo dvr networking...

Recommended Posts

Hi guys/gals,

I reinstated a setup yesterday for a guy that had had his DVR unplugged for several months. He also asked if i could configure his DVR for remote viewing, I have asked him to get a static ip address whilst i do my home work.

There's no manual with the DVR and it's the 1st Eneo i have worked with.

The DVR itself I'd say is an earlier model as i'm getting no luck with Eneos website/downloads.

It's a 4ch cream box very very similar to the DLR series but no DVD/CD drive, in the network menu you have only options to change the IP address and subnet mask, or change users password... no mention of ports etc....

The newer Eneo models have 3 or 4 ports to be mapped/opened through the router(like all the DVR's I've previously worked with)...

So... are the ports set to default values

Is the RAS software a must, these DVR's cannot be viewed using IExplorer web browser

Any help or advice would be much appreciated, and thank you in advance for all replies.

Regards, ptzguy
