Mini nvr questions

Recommended Posts

I now logged in via telnet and ran the mount command. I'm not a Linux specialist, but it seems to me that the usbstick isn't mounted (in fact I'm not sure about the last line).

# mount
rootfs on / type rootfs (rw)
/dev/root on / type squashfs (ro,relatime)
proc on /proc type proc (rw,relatime)
sysfs on /sys type sysfs (rw,relatime)
tmpfs on /dev type tmpfs (rw,relatime)
tmpfs on /tmp type tmpfs (rw,relatime)
devpts on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,relatime,mode=600,ptmxmode=000)
/dev/mtdblock3 on /root type jffs2 (rw,relatime)
/dev/mtdblock3 on /update type jffs2 (rw,relatime)
/dev/mtdblock4 on /usr/etc type jffs2 (rw,relatime)
usbfs on /proc/bus/usb type usbfs (rw,relatime)
#

If no, what should the correct mountpoint be?

Ok, but neither /proc/bus/usb, nor one of its subfolders (./001 and ./002) holds the content of the usbstick.

But when I do a mount like this

mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/

I can access its content via

cd /mnt/

That's what makes me belive something isn't mounted correctly... Can someone with a working usbstick put his mount table here please?

I run out of ideas. My usbstick is recognized by the command lsusb, but doesn't get mounted automatically and is also not displayed in the GUI under System - HDD Setting.

If I mount it manually it's accessible under its mountpoint but it's still not displayed in the GUI and therefore no recording is possible.

Any linux specialist who could help?

Hi,

I have some problems with my mini nvr.

I'm trying to connect an axis camera, p5522e and is impossible, only using rstp is possible. No PTZ,.....

When I'm using the device on a local screen, VGA connection, I can not see anything??????

I update my device, and like most of you, I need to put again the first firmware. Well I can update using the systpro's firmware, but the remote control, using my PC connecting to my nvr is very bad, like the local connection. The first firmware was better, any idea? Any new firmware? Systpro, can you share your contact?

Thanks

Why do you want to record on USB Stick? This device records as raw only on HDD, not USB drives. You can use pendrive only to backup a piece of movie from hdd.

Yes, it (sometimes) should also record on usb stick, see post from Mar 10, 2014:

My two cents.

- Motion detection did not work at all with any cameras I tried.

- I did get the unit recording on a 32Gb USB stick. It only gave me like 20-22Gb available for whatever reason.

- It must use a propietary file system, since inserting the USB stick on a computer only gave me the format prompt. That means that if I want to play back the recordings on a computer, first I need to export them to another USB stick, eSATA device, etc. (there are only two USB ports, so it would not be fun to connect two USB sticks and a mouse at the same time).

- Web interface was in chinese, so I could not try anything at all.

This is not yet a mature product. It can, and has to get a lot better. It is cool for the small size, recording on USB stick, etc.

But so far as I said on my other post, the best usage I see for it is as a 4ch 1080p decoder, so you can view 4 cameras easily on any TV without the need of a computer.

Why usb stick - little use of space, not susceptible to shocks and low power consumption (no powered usb hub needed)...

Hello

I just tried Escam QD320 (cameras) with Escam K108 (NVR). Before i bought it escam support claimed it will work together with motion detection. However i can't force it to work in that mode. If i set up motion detection area it is not saved by nvr. Hard drive is attached, so storage is available.

I'm waiting for answer from escam support, they asked for camera and nvr firware version. Wonder what will be their answer.

I have no idea how to make this mode work.

Anyone with working motion detection could:

1. Give as screenshot of motion detection config on camera

2. Give as screenshot of motion detection config on NVR

3. Provide detailed step by step configuration.

I trie to get motion detection recording triggered by alarm input posted via camera on motion detection how ever .... what is alarm port in this nvr? Documentation is a piece a junk so maybe someone is more familliar with this device and can give me a clue. Nmap gave me only this open ports:

i had this problem. You just have to add your nvr ip to trusted sites in IE. This should solve a problem. Remember to untick request https verification.

Let me know is motion detection working. Currently i'm wainting for support response but all i got is gmail Delivery Status Notification that their mail server is dead. Whole website also.

Has anyone got the NVR working on OSX? I can't find a way to view it on my macbook other than using a windows virtual machine.

Also the only app on my iPhone that works is Goolink.

The latest firmware is 20140417. Hopefully you are using this version.

We are developing the next version now and believe it will be ready before Christmas.

I use escam K108.

Will Escam QD320 (h264 only HI3518E) and simmila cameras work with motion detection in new version?

Is it possible to add time stamp on video by nvr - not camera itself?

In my device reverse playback does not work, and you have to download video directly - not from playback screen. While in playback mode there is no progress.

How does alarm input for IP Cameras work?

Is there RTSP stream available in mini nvr?

In my case this device is OK, but time sync is a problem. Had to set GMT+2, instead of real GMT+1.

On my escam QD320 cameras time is synchronized by ntp twice - like i set, and with some chinesse time zone. That is why i want to put time stamp by nvr.

Anyway mini nvr is worth its money " title="Applause" /> , but there is lack of documentation.

Like that you have to uses usb + esata cable. There is no power in esata connector in this device.
