Mini nvr questions

Recommended Posts

I see Escam now have a K204/K208. I guess it has updated hardware from the K104/K108 but I can't find any more detail than the basic specs.

Has anyone bought one of these yet? I'm considering it, hoping it will backup my video which the N6200 won't.

Hi guys,

I have a strange issue with the mini nvr 16 channel (N6200 16EH). I'm running on latest firmware 20151231 with the goolink patch. Everything works perfect.... for 2-3 days then a few things happen:

1. I cannot watch the mobile stream (IP cam viewer on Android)

2. I cannot ping the nvr from network or access from Internet Explorer or telnet

3. NVR is working fine from HDMI (recording viewing)

If I reboot everything is working normal.

I was forced to enable auto-reboot every 2 days... It's a temporary solution.... Someone knows something to share ?

update: Must be a firmware issue cause I used mini 8ch with firmware 201503---- on the same network and it doesn't go down.

I have a mini nvr N6200 of 16 channels , and can not connect the HDD in it.

Already formatted in fat32 yet he does not identify , what I do?

It would be a defect in the firmware version ?

Which Model Number do you have of the N6200 ? (N6200-???)

Internal OR Externall HDD ?

I'm no expert (far from it on security Camera Systems), I might be wrong but I believe you have to FORMAT the hard Drive through the NVR operating System (it uses a different format than FAT)

Hopefully Someone with more experience will have more information.

Cycle recording problem.

Hello. I own the generic N6200-8EL NVR (no brand) with the 20151231_Firmware. It seems to work correctly but the setting menu lacks the "record replace" and "record time (hours)" items. These 2 options are not displayed. So when my (internal) hdd is full, the record stops and I can't overwrite/cycle the record.

It seems that it is a matter of firmwmare, as the old 20140417 firmware showed that options.

See steph2a answer http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=39628&start=525

I hesitate to downgrade to the old firmware, because I am afraid of bricking the nvr, and I am not sure of the integrity of the 20140417 firmware that I have downloaded.

Would someone have a solution? Thx

Hi, I am looking for the NVR firmware version V4.0 20150808 for my VC-N6200-8EL and saw you have the same (I updated mine to 31.12.2015 and want to downgrade). Is there any way you can download/save your firmware and send it to me (freonstar@gmail.com)? Would be thankful to you for that.

I'm having a similar issue as you, With the same hardware but software version V4.0[20151231]

The network appears to stop functioning after a couple of days and I have to reboot.

I've also set a daily reboot as a work around.

Okay so i have read some of the pages but not all of them because there are 80 of them

So i have this small setup with 1 x NVR N6200:8E and 2x camera's they both are discovered OK by the NVR and the display is good.

I thought i would then stream/record all the video data to a SMB share of a NAS so without buying an extra HDD or plugging something in via USB or eSATA.

I have done some googline but i cant really find anything about it.

It only says that when attaching a HDD it will format it to its own structure resulting in data loss.

So does anyone know if it is possible to stream all the video data directly to a NAS or does there have to be a HDD attached to the NVR physically ?

Any advice on firmware upgrade ?

Master version V4.0[20150808]

Hardware V4.0

You have to save to a HDD attached to the device. The following list is from the quick start guide.

The product supports external HDD only, including mobile HDD, hard-disk cartridge with E-SATA port.

We have tested following HDD brands and model numbers work with the mini NVR:

Seagate Backup Plus 1TB 2.5’’ USB3.0 mobile HDD, Model No.: STBU1000300

Seagate Expansion 1TB 2.5’’ USB3.0 mobile HDD, Model No.: STBX1000301

Seagate Expansion 2TB 3.5’’ USB3.0 external HDD, Model No.: STBV2000300

Western Digital (WD) Elements 1TB 2.5’’ USB3.0 mobile HDD, Model No.: WDBUZG0010BBK

Once you have it working try to backup to a HDD elsewhere. I can't get it to work. If you do, let me know how.

OK thanks for the info pretty sad though.

I can HTTP directly to one of the camera's and just put in a network share \\"IP"\"Video folder" and it works but then you have to keep the window open the whole time :'(

Hi all,

Hope someone can help. I updated to the latest firmware

N6200-4EH/9EH/16EH_20151231_Firmware

But since doing so the system locks up on a daily basis. So I went to downgrade it back to the previous FW

update.3535.a.web.all.6200_4.9.16ch.update

but when the system rebooted it stuck at the screen logo “Network Video Recorder”

I have tried downloading the files to create a boot usb but the NVR2 still only boots to the logo screen.

Can anyone advise how I might be able to recover my bricked NVR2?

Thanks

Dave

I have and N6800-8E and have never been able backup recorded video through IE in ActiveX mode. I emailed Escam support and they sent me an update "update.3520d.a.web.all.nor.4_0_2016060718.mini.8ch.update" plus "dvr.update". When use IE in ActiveX mode after the update it installed a new version of rtspvideoplugin but I could no longer view my cameras in IE ActiveX mode but I could in Non ActiveX mode.

I've uninstalled new rtspvideoplugin and installed the previous version of the firmware and when I connect via IE in ActiveX mode for the first time it installs the earlier rtspvideopluging but I still can't view my cameras in ActiveX mode. There must be something else installed that affects this. What do I need to remove to get back to a clean system?

Escam support haven't replied since I reported this problem.

My USB on NVR is dead

I had to recover by coping telnet recover files to hdd with esata cable and plug hdd after whole device start up.

Now i have 2014 firmware. What is proper path to get to the newest?

Updated my 6200-4e to the latest firmware but now I have lost video output on both HDMI and VGA.

I've tried going back to 20150808 firmware with USB boot (which has installed fine), but again, no HDMI or VGA video outputs.

Any ideas anyone?

same issue all outputs dead

Is this update, 20160707_0153_mini_8ch_A.update, the one that is giving trouble with video output?

Has anyone installed it successfully?
