1000 Mbps vs 100 Mbps RJ45 port on NVR

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I want to buy some chinese NVR,HDR from ebay/aliexpress.

But I need it for 4 720p IP Cameras (support Onvif protocol)

I am going to record 12/7 all 4 cameras and I think that one 100 Mbps RJ45 wont be enough.

So I am looking for 1000Mbps RJ45 port, but I have no trust in description on ebay. (There are same NVR with different descriptions)

My question is if any of you have 1000 Mbps NVR with IR REMOTE CONTROL bought off ebay/aliexpress and can send me link to it.

Thank you.

check out some of the bandwidth calculators from google to get results, usually 4 to 5meg is sufficient per camera for calculations so 5meg x 4 cameras is only 20 meg so the 100meg port is well capable of the job.

You dont need gigabit for 4 720p cameras...

Do yourself a favor and educate yourself on NVR's and IP cameras before you go out and buy something on ebay...just because they say its onvif compatible doesnt mean it will work...
