View old backup on DVR Samsung SHR5042

Hello everybody,

 

i am new in this forum, i have a problem with my Samsung DVR and i'am asking for help please,

 

the problem is : In my company we use a Camera and a DVR to monitor a financial vault because we hade problems in the past, its working fine, but its allow me to view only 3 days back,

 

Money was stolen last week and i need to view more than 3 days back,

 

do you have a solution please ?

 

if I change the date of the DVR, can I view old backup or not ? iam scared about deleting data.

 

PS: the size of the DVR's HDD is 250Go.

Hi. No nothing you can do ... your system is over 15 years old

Time to upgrade your system.

 

No point having a system that protects money that's worth nothing

Hi, thank you for the prompt response,

 

we did that in emergency, it was the only sollution we had... a long story.

 

when i try to change the date, i have this information message, do you think that if i click on "Adjoindre" (it's in french) i will have a chance to view old data ?

Hi that is giving a warning ...... change time and system will crash.

 

It is not as simple as just changing the date

 

I would spend more time looking for at least an other dvr and use a 1tb hard drive

hello, I give the outcome of the story

 

the police recovered the HDD, connected it to a rack and was able to extract the contents, 160GB of MPEG videos, they were able to find the desired scene

 

the thief was a security guard, he is in prison
