I have my internet through sky and use their router.

I click the "Network Test" button and it just says "2packets received"

Any help would be greatful as I'm close to hitting it with a hammer to see if it works

Have you set up port forwarding? First get it working from inside your own network, once that works, then proceed viewing it outside your network; cell phone, etc.

Just done a dvr connecting work and perhaps got a say in that

For PC Viewing:

Firstly connect the DVR to the router using the Ethernet cable. To make it works, you need to make sure the PC and the DVR are using the same router ie, the ip address of dvr and your pc are located on the same LAN segment and the subnet mark, gateway and dns of your dvr are the same as the pc.

Then install the CMS on your pc, with the software you can view it from pc.

Plus, only support the 32bit IE.

For Phone Viewing:

It seems that the dvr supports QR Bar Code.

I find this vid in YouTube. Seems quite easy to make it, hope it can helps.
